LIVECT (Quartz Composer – openFrameworks – Xcode 4.6)
Particle motion simulation is a concept applied in the areas of scientific visualization and computer graphics. It is an approach to model and render objects that cannot be easily described in terms of surfaces, volume primitives and motion paths. Particle motion simulation divides graphical objects into a set of small particles behaving according to specific rules. Real-time particle motion simulation makes it possible to simulate natural phenomena like smoke or Brownian motion for Installations and Live performances purposes.

This first version of SNmotionParticles is an intuitive and easy way to make and detect real-time custom particle emitters using motion from cameras. You can setup the particle parameters using different controls to tweak them. The app is built in the standard Cocoa format so it can be easily revisited and imported into your app or game. If you have any issues, please email me and I will usually get back to you within one business working day.
